Kathy Colson, President.  Kathy is CFO of SunState Federal Credit Union (SFCU) and a lifelong resident of the Alachua/LaCrosse area. Kathy attended Lake City Community College and graduated with a BSBA in accounting from the University of Florida.  She has been at SunState since 1981, with her office in Alachua since 2003. She is involved with the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe as a charter member and serves as the current treasurer with that organization. Additionally, Kathy is involved with the Alachua Woman’s Club and the Alachua Chamber of Commerce.

Mike Gianikas, Member.
Mike Gianikas is the owner of Landscapes Unlimited, a landscape and hardscape design/build company.  Operating in the Gainesville area since 1985, the business was moved to Alachua in 2002.  Mike has been involved with the ABL since 2003 and is also currently a member of the Alachua Chamber of Commerce and the Builders Association of North Central Florida.  Mike and his wife Erin enjoy living on the Santa Fe River Kayaking and Hiking. Mike also enjoys bicycling and performing with his band 'County Road' in local venues.

Kelly Harris, Member.   Kelly graduated from UF and married a lifelong Alachua resident, Greg.  In 2001, she started her gift basket company, Kelly’s Kreations Gift Baskets and has been involved with the Alachua festivals since they started.  She was a part of the Economic Advisory Committee in Alachua (2003), coached fastpitch softball for 5 years (including the 10U team that went to the Regional Tournament in North Carolina), was Volunteer of the Year at AL Mebane Middle school in 2007/2008.  She has helped in the startup of a “sister” group the Business Alliance of Greater Gainesville (BAGG) that focuses on sharing ideas among small businesses for the greater good.

Rosanne Morse, Secretary/Treasurer.  Rosanne holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and provides Life Coaching Services as well as operating The Pink Porch Bookstore.  She moved part time to Alachua in 1998 as she concluded her career as Director of the Broward County Sexual Assault Treatment Center.  In 2003 Rosanne moved full time with her husband Wally to Main Street in Historic Downtown Alachua.  Rosanne and Wally have operated The Pink Porch Bookstore since 2003 and are very much enjoying their transformation from hectic “city folk” to congenial shopkeepers.  Rosanne also serves on the City of Alachua Downtown Redevelopment Trust Board and is the Executive Director of the Miller Foundation.

Valerie Taylor, Member.  Valerie has lived in Alachua since 1985 and is thrilled to be the new owner of a shop on Main Street! Valerie’s Loft is a consignment boutique featuring clothes for Girls from size 6 up to Women’s Plus size 5X.  She also is a Board Member of the Alachua Woman’s Club and is the Clubhouse Coordinator, booking all events held at the Clubhouse.  History is a favorite subject, so being Secretary of the Alachua Historical Society is another favorite activity, even though she is a transplant from New York State.  Valerie shares her home with 8 cats and 4 birds.

Marilyn Vanover, Vice President.  Marilyn moved to High Springs in 2000 with many memories of having enjoyed Ginnie Springs and O'Leno State Park while in college at the University of Florida. She is the branch manager of the Alachua/High Springs office of Alarion Bank. She is involved in the Chamber of Commerce of both High Springs and Alachua, as well as the Alachua Business League. She loves the charm of High Springs and wants to make sure it is maintained.
