Orchestra Fuego
Based in Florida, Orchestra Fuego brings the irresistible rhythms and energy of Salsa and Mambo to audiences around the world. Led by founder, pianist, composer, and musical director Marcus Hernandez, the award-winning ensemble blends the authentic sound of classic New York Salsa with Afro-Cuban rhythms, contemporary arrangements, fiery brass, and powerhouse vocals.
Hernandez’s roots in Salsa stretch back to New York City in the late 1970s, and he formed Orchestra Fuego in Tampa in 2015. Since then, the group has performed throughout the United States and internationally and shared the stage with Latin music legends including Víctor Manuelle, Grupo Niche, Charlie Aponte, Grupo Galé, and Sonora Ponceña.
With infectious percussion, vibrant horns, and an unmistakable passion for Latin music, Orchestra Fuego transforms every performance into a celebration. Whether you’re a lifelong Salsa fan or hearing the music for the first time, expect a high-energy show made for dancing—and a perfect summer night at the Levitt AMP Music Series.
