Every year the Alachua Business League has recognized a member of the community for their attitude, their character and their participation in the community. This award has always been called the ABLe Award until last year, 2019, when it was renamed the Rosanne Morse ABLe Award, to honor Ms. Morse’s passing and in recognition of her devotion and support of the ABL.
The acronym, ABLe, is obviously a play on the initials of the Alachua Business League, but more specifically, it stands for;
A – Active in the Community
B – Believes in others
L – Leads with style
Thus E – Exemplifies the Alachua Business League’s values.
As the Board of Directors can not be everywhere and does not see everything that goes on, we depend on other members of the community to point out any persons with these characteristics. We have provided a worksheet below to assist you in determining the nominees qualifications, as well as enable us to more thoroughly make a decision from all the entries.
Please fill out as much information as you would like, of course the more you enter, the better we are able to make a decision. Once you are satisfied with the information you have provided, fill in the name of your nominee. Nominations must be received by our last General Member meeting to allow the Board time to confer. The announcement of the winner will be made at our Winter Social.
