Welcome to the Alachua Business League. The fact that you have taken this step means you are serious about growing your business, but it also means you are serious about helping others to grow theirs at the same time. The ABL is a network of small businesses who knows we are stronger together and commit to helping each other to grow through networking, marketing, local events and activities and round table discussions.

Of course, our claim to fame is the production of the Main Street Fall Harvest festival, and by becoming a member of the ABL, you are offered the opportunity to be a vendor in said festival, assuming you are an active member. This does not guarantee you a spot in the festival, as all spots are on a first come first serve basis. But it does place you in the first group to be informed when we start accepting applications.

Aside from the festival, we hold quarterly member meetings , which is not only an opportunity to network with other members, but also a chance to get updated on what is happening within the ABL. At these meetings we will have a business spotlight, which gives one of our members an opportunity to promote their business in a more detailed light. On occasion, we may also have a guest speaker who will hopefully offer valuable insights for your businesses. And of course , don’t forget, a light meal is provided before the meeting and door prizes and other gifts are available to all attendees.

Aside from our member meetings, we hold other networking opportunities, such as Meet & Greets and Network Challenges, that are open to the public, so feel free to invite other businesses to join us for these events. We also host several business workshops through out the year and these are open to the public, as well. However, if you are not an ABL member, there is a nominal charge. 

Also, make sure you familiarize yourself with our website which has a member directory, a calendar of events and other useful information related to the Business League and the City of Alachua. We also are working on a password protected area on the site where we will house info and/or videos from our workshops, in case you miss them, as well as other pertinent info and helpful tips for running a successful business.
